Hello everybody ! Just logged on to this fine BBS a few days ago. And i found so many fine things, that I just had to upload something that *maybe* somebody else could use. So you will find IRCON.ZIP, which is a small application for the Phillips 87C750 series of uPC. It interfaces to a Sharp infrared sensor that can receive Phillips RC5 IR control codes, and send it as a string of bits to the uPC. The uPC then looks at the signal, decodes it and finaly toggles one of eight digital outputs. I also have a version that decodes the RC5 signal, and sends the Address and Command out on the Serial port (if interested, leave a note). Also available is a small PCB layout in BoardMaker format (45x65 mm) for the a "IR5 to Relay" construction. (Output driver for 8 relays, uses an ordinary Phillips RC5 remote control). Part of the decoding code is "Borrowed" from an article in Elector magazine.
