New Filter Products (Part 1 of Timonta News June 1998)
550A High-Current Filter
The target market for Timonta's high-current filters is the machine tool and printing machinery industry, where modern motor drives are controlled by frequency converters. To meet existing EMC standards, such equipment really needs interference suppression. Due to specific inquiries we have extended our upper range of 3-phase high-current filters.
    Bookfilters for Industrial Application
The existing FMBC product family has been extended with additional, 2-stage industrial filters, standing out with their special, slim-line casing. They are called bookfilters because of their mechanical dimensions. They are especially suitable for space-saving installation together with frequency converters of the leading manufacturers. Other applications include UPS-systems and stepper motor drives.
Price Reduction thanks to Aluminium Casing
Combifilters of the FKH... and FKI... series (1-stage combifilters with 2-pole switch and 1 or 2 fuses), as well as the corresponding 2-stage filters, model FKHD and FKID, are now available as low-cost alternative with aluminium casing. Existing models with steel casings are still part of our product range to meet highest demands concerning magnetic shielding.
    Combifilters for Internal Mounting
For design and cost reasons, electric and electronic equipment is frequently built into metallised plastic casings. Timonta has developed special filters for internal mounting providing direct electrical connection with such metal coating.
    Combifilter Series up 10A
The combifilter series FK... has been extended with models of higher rated current. As a result, the Timonta product line meets additional market requirements.
